8by8 – Social Media Manager
Organization: 8by8.org (Nonprofit Initiative to #StopAsianHate through Voter Engagement)
Role: Social Media Strategy, Content Creation & Community Engagement
At 8by8, I led social media strategy and execution across platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X, and YouTube to support the nonprofit’s mission of increasing voter registration and political participation in Asian American communities.
This role combined strategy, creativity, and purpose as I worked to grow an engaged digital presence and support the launch of the “8by8 Challenge” app — a peer-to-peer voter registration campaign designed to go viral through.
8 by 8 Challenge Campaign
As part of 8by8’s social media campaign, I took on the #8by8Challenge to encourage eight members of the AAPI community to register to vote in just eight days. This initiative was designed to increase civic engagement, uplift AAPI voices, and promote voter education through accessible, culturally relevant content. By participating in and amplifying this challenge, I helped highlight the power of representation and the importance of grassroots digital outreach in strengthening our communities.
